I think the word secular should mean the ways in which we engage with each other and the world around us that aren’t dependent on any particular idea of the eternal or any particular religion. But they can come from religion – those ways of dealing with each other can be inspired by certain moral values. But they can also appreciate the beauty of the world, even though we know it may pass away eventually.
