As the glamour unfolds on the silver screen, two conflicting responses seem appropriate: on the one hand, a sense of appreciation of the intricacy, skill, and beauty involved in this fashion exhibition, as well as the huge party accompanying it; but on the other hand, this extravagance can seem excessive … and almost obscene.
